Coworker Sent Woman Photos from Her Husband's Office Halloween Party – Then She Saw Who He Had Introduced as His Wife

    I laughed.

"Rachel says you did."

"Rachel misunderstood."

"Seven photographs misunderstood too?"

Silence. I hung up.

He called back immediately.

I didn't answer.

    Then again.

Then texted, "Please don't do anything until I explain."

That sentence made me furious.

As if I were the dangerous variable.

I didn't "do" anything. I started verifying.

First, I looked up the company Halloween party pictures.

Daniel's company had posted an album publicly on LinkedIn.

There they were.

My husband and Melissa.

In the caption under one group photo, "Daniel and wife Melissa brought serious vampire energy."

I actually said, "Oh my God."

Out loud.

Then I searched Melissa. I only had a first name.

But one photo had tagged several employees.

A coworker had posted, "Daniel and Melissa deserved the costume prize."

Another person commented, "Best couple costume."

Daniel had even liked the post.

That mattered.
