For a few seconds, I genuinely could not understand what I was looking at.
Daniel stood in the middle of what looked like a hotel ballroom, wearing the same black suit and cheap vampire cape he'd worn when he left our house.
His arm was around a woman.
Not casually around her shoulders.
Around her waist.
She was dressed as a vampire too.
Black dress. Red lipstick. Dark red makeup at the corner of her mouth.
One hand pressed against Daniel's chest. They were smiling at the camera.
Rachel had typed under it, "He introduced her as Melissa, his wife. I'm so sorry."
What confused me even more was how Rachel had found me in the first place.
