Because of her withdrawn behavior, some prisoners considered her strange.

That day, however, she was watching Razor and the elderly woman.
At first, the young woman remained seated.

When she reached them, she calmly spoke.

The entire yard seemed to change in an instant.
The prisoners who had been watching the attack fell silent.
Razor turned toward the young woman and stared at her for several seconds before laughing.
“Are you talking to me?”
The young woman did not hesitate.
“To you.”
Razor’s companions exchanged uncertain looks.
Razor then challenged the young woman directly.
