The Homeless Boy’s Warning Saved a Millionaire’s Daughter

Months after Evelyn was sent to prison, Gregory and Daisy slowly began rebuilding their lives. But the scars of betrayal did not disappear overnight.

Daisy would sometimes wake up trembling in the middle of the night, remembering the terrifying days when the world had gradually faded into darkness before her eyes. Gregory would sit beside her bed until she fell asleep again, haunted by one painful thought:

“I should have realized the truth sooner…”

As for Leo, he moved into Gregory’s home temporarily, but he struggled to adjust to life in a mansion. Even though his room had a luxurious bed, he still chose to sleep on the floor. He secretly hid pieces of bread in his pockets, afraid that one day he might be hungry again.

One afternoon, Gregory asked him gently,

“Why don’t you sleep in your bed?”

Leo lowered his head and answered quietly,

“Because I’m used to being ready to run away at any moment.”

His words touched Gregory more deeply than he expected.

From that day on, Gregory no longer treated Leo like a guest.

He treated him like a son.

A Truth No One Knew

Two weeks later, Gregory received an unexpected phone call from one of the detectives.

“Mr. Fletcher… we’ve uncovered something unusual.”
