A little boy said at school, “My grandma ties my hands every night.” When his teacher entered the house with the police, she froze at what she saw 😱💔

Seven-year-old Lucas said those words so calmly that, at first, his teacher didn’t understand their true meaning.

“What did you say, Lucas?” Mrs. Carter asked.

The boy lowered his head and pulled the sleeves of his shirt farther down.

“My grandma ties my hands every night.”

The other children continued making noise around the classroom, but everything suddenly went silent for Mrs. Carter. She looked at the boy’s wrists. Several red marks were visible beneath his sleeves.

“Why does she do that?”

Lucas glanced toward the classroom door, as though he were afraid someone might overhear them.

“She says something bad will happen if she doesn’t.”

“Does it hurt?”

The boy remained silent for a moment.

“Sometimes. When I try to get free, Grandma holds me and tells me not to open my eyes.”

After hearing that, Mrs. Carter knew she could not simply keep asking questions and then send the boy home.

Lucas had been living with his grandmother, Margaret, for the past six months. His parents had died in a car accident, leaving Margaret as his only guardian.

The woman always arrived at school wearing the same dark coat. She rarely spoke to the teachers or other parents. Every afternoon, she waited by the school gates, took Lucas firmly by the hand, and hurried away.

The boy’s behavior had also changed over the past several weeks. He frequently fell asleep during class, refused to sit near the windows, and flinched whenever someone accidentally touched his wrists.
