Trying to ignore it, he continued reading a magazine behind the desk.

Five minutes later, footsteps echoed from the third floor.

Heavy...

One step every few seconds.

He looked at the security monitors.

The hallway outside Room 307 was empty.

Yet the footsteps continued.

The sound stopped only when the clock struck one.
