Entitled Neighbor Claims My Driveway Until Thirty Classic Cars Teach Respect

For two years, I’d kept the driveway empty because filling it again felt like admitting Robert was gone.

I thought preserving the silence was somehow preserving him.

It wasn’t.

Robert hadn’t loved an empty driveway.

He’d loved seeing it full.

Full of cars.

Full of friends.

Full of people arguing about engines over cups of coffee.

So yes, thirty classic cars finally taught my neighbor to stay off my property.

But they did something much more important for me.

They brought Robert’s friends back through my gate.

They brought laughter back into my yard.

And they showed me that moving forward didn’t require leaving my husband behind.

Sometimes it simply meant making room for life to park there again.
