My mother-in-law put my house without upside down every time she came – One day, I finally decided to teach her a lesson
Sometimes I would say, “Yes, and this woman is tired. »
Sometimes I didn’t say anything because my kids were in the room and I didn’t want them to hear me say what I really meant.
Mon mari, Aaron, détestait ça aussi.
People always think that men ignore this kind of thing, but not him. He could see everything. He hated the way his mother spoke to me. He hated the mess. He hated the little spikes about how I folded the towels, seasoned the dishes or “let” the children make noise.
But every time he tried to stand up to her, she would turn the situation around so fast that it gave the twist.
« Je ne faisais que t'aider. »
And I was cleaning.
I cleaned the plates she left on the coffee tables. I was cleaning the grease splashes she was doing on the stove. I was cleaning the packaging she was throwing next to the couch, as if she thought the trash were decorative items. I was cleaning the hand marks on the fridge, the sticky traces on the dining table, and once, without a joke, a trace of lipstick on my towel.
