Laura walked toward the door.
Before leaving, the little boy in the hallway stopped her.
“Ma’am…”
She turned around.
“Yes?”
The boy looked at her shyly.
“Is my sister going to get better?”
Laura crouched down in front of him.
“We’re going to do everything we can.”
The boy smiled faintly.
And Laura left the house.
When she returned to the Mercedes, her assistant, Patricia, looked at her curiously.
“Is everything alright, ma’am?”
Laura looked out the window at the small blue house.
—No.
Patricia frowned.
—What happened?
Laura answered in a low voice.
—I just saw something my luxury world showed me.
—What?
Laura sighed.
