Stroke Symptoms in Women: 7 Warning Signs You Should Never Ignore

5. Dizziness, Loss of Balance, or Trouble Walking

A stroke can affect balance and coordination. A woman may suddenly feel dizzy, unsteady, or unable to walk normally. She may stumble, fall, or feel like the room is spinning.

These signs can be confused with an inner ear problem, low blood pressure, tiredness, or dehydration. But sudden dizziness with weakness, vision changes, confusion, or speech difficulty needs emergency care.

The CDC lists sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance, or lack of coordination as possible stroke symptoms.

6. Nausea, Vomiting, or Unusual Fatigue

Some women may experience symptoms that do not immediately look like a stroke, such as sudden nausea, vomiting, extreme tiredness, or a strong feeling that something is wrong.
