Sometimes, the person may seem confused or unable to answer simple questions. The NHS includes speech problems and confusion as important stroke symptoms and recommends using the FAST method: Face, Arms, Speech, Time to call emergency services.
A simple test is to ask the person to repeat a short sentence. If their speech sounds strange or they cannot respond clearly, treat it as an emergency.

Some women may experience sudden confusion, memory problems, or disorientation. They may not know where they are, may struggle to follow a conversation, or may act unusually.
