My Twin Brother Grabbed the Mic at My Wedding and Said, “Today I Get My Revenge”—But His Next Move Left Everyone in Tears

His Unexpected Revenge

Ryan’s face changed.

His serious expression cracked, and his eyes filled with tears.

“But ten years ago,” he said, his voice trembling, “you gave up the biggest dream you had because you refused to let me give up mine.”

I stared at him.

“You canceled your study-abroad trip to Japan. You worked double shifts in that diner and handed over every dollar you had so I wouldn’t have to leave college when our family went broke.”

My mother covered her mouth. My father lowered his head.

Ryan looked around the room, then back at me.

“He never told me. He pretended the program had been canceled. I found out years later when I saw an old email on Dad’s computer.”

I could barely breathe.

“So yes,” Ryan said, wiping his eyes, “you took my first girlfriend. But she was sixteen, I was sixteen, and we barely knew what love was.”

A few people laughed softly through their tears.

He placed a hand on my shoulder.

“Emily is not something you took from me. She is the woman who chose you, and you are the man she deserves.”

Then he pushed the wallet toward me.

“My revenge is forcing you to finally leave.”

I opened it with shaking hands.

Inside were two first-class tickets to Tokyo, hotel confirmations, rail passes, restaurant reservations, and a fully paid itinerary for a month-long honeymoon across Japan.

Emily stared at the documents.

“You did all this?” she whispered.

Ryan nodded.

“I’ve been saving part of every paycheck for years.”

The room erupted. Some people cheered. Others cried. Claire hugged him so tightly he nearly dropped the microphone.

I remained frozen in my chair, overwhelmed by what he had done.

This was not an impulsive gift. It represented years of patience, planning, and gratitude.

It was his way of saying he had never forgotten.
